Akron has lost a landmark. The curtain has fallen for the last time at Carousel Dinner Theatre. As of Jan 3rd 2009, the theater has ceased operation and canceled their 2009 season. Carousel has brought unique entertainment to Summit County in the form of musicals, revues, and even a cirque inspired act. In addition to their feature shows, the dinner theater also provided educational opportunities and provided employment to dozens of artists, technicians, servers and others. Their presence will be missed in the arts community and the community at large. We wish the best to all of Carousel's staff!
