VLS Open House | New Fixtures From Altman Lighting
Altman Lighting was on hand to demonstrate and discuss some of their most recent creations for entertainment and architectural lighting. Fixtures like the Chalice 150 LED downlight are recent evolutions of previous products. The new model offers increased brightness and larger coverage areas than previous fixtures.
They’ve also released some very powerful LED lights for stage lighting. The PHX LED Profile Spot is a 150W or 250W LED spotlight available in four LED combinations: RGBA, RGBW, 3000K (warm white), and 5600K (Daylight). They are great lighting instruments for front light, gobo projections, and special events. Altman also showed off their Spectra Cyc line. With models now ranging from 50 to 400 watts, there is an asymmetrical LED flood light perfect for every size stage.
Many of our Open House guests didn’t realize they were looking at an LED Fresnel when they laid eyes on the new Pegasus soft-edge spot. Despite being an LED based light, both the Pegasus 6 and Pegasus 8 can operate from phase cut mains dimming, or via DMX plus constant power. The 6 inch version is brighter than a 500 Watt lamp, and the 8 inch variation attains the intensity of a traditional Fresnel lamped at 750 Watts.
