Burning River Fest 2017
For two nights of music, beer, and water conservancy, Great Lakes Brewing Co. hosted the 16th annual Great Lakes Burning River Fest at the historic Coast Guard Station on Whiskey Island.
Illuminated by the downtown skyline, the Great Lakes Burning River Fest featured globetrotting electronica sensation Robert DeLong, who topped the bill Saturday with his high-energy technicolor show, while Akron-based favorites Wesley Bright & the Honeytones headlined Friday with their silky smooth dance grooves and modern soul sound.
A diverse mix of food vendors and trucks dished out the goods, and since beer and music go hand in hand, Great Lakes Brewing Co. poured fresh, award-winning brews all weekend long.
On the main stage, the VLS team used Clay Paky B-Eye and Sharpy Wash automated lights, as well as VARI*LITE VL3500 Spots, Chroma-Q Colorforce II LED strip lights and Chauvet COLORado Solo 1 lights. Clay Paky GlowUp and Mythos fixtures provided the searchlight effects in the light house, and Clay Paky B-Eye movers were a huge hit in the Silent Disco, which was held inside the boathouse.
