CCM BOOM! 2016
University of Cincinnati
BOOM! is a major project in the Lighting Technology course completed by students semi-annually. The instructor, Mark C. Williams, allows the students to focus on the intricate complexities and integrations of various types of technology to create a unique and dynamic performance.
Students spend weeks planning for this capstone event and are then given only a few days to execute their plans, programming complex lighting on a rig of various fixtures – each with different attributes and abilities – in CCM’s versatile Cohen Family Studio Theater.
To allow the students the ability to work with some of the most advanced gear available in the lighting industry, Vincent Lighting Systems provided a variety of Martin Mac Aura, Clay Paky Mythos and Clay Paky B-Eye fixtures, as well as Chauvet Nexus 4x4 Panels, High End Systems Showguns and American DJ UV Canons.
