What do you like about the lighting industry?
What I really appreciate about the lighting industry is the perfect blend of creativity and challenge it offers. Lighting plays a crucial role in creating captivating visual experiences, whether it’s in a theatrical production, film set, or even architectural design. Without proper lighting, the entire ambiance and mood can be compromised. Being a part of this industry allows me to explore my creative instincts while overcoming the technical challenges associated with lighting.
Who inspires you?
I find inspiration in anyone who takes this crazy business on. The lighting industry can be demanding and unpredictable, requiring individuals to think on their feet, adapt to new situations, and push the boundaries of their creativity. I am inspired by those who fearlessly tackle these challenges and strive for excellence in their work.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to enter the lighting industry?
You have to fully commit to it and jump in with both feet. It’s not a career path for the faint-hearted, as it requires dedication, hard work, and a passion for collaboration. Financial gains may not always be the primary motivation in this field, but the satisfaction that comes from being part of a creative team and witnessing the end result of your efforts is incredibly rewarding.
What’s one thing — either industry-related or not — you have learned in the last month?
In the past month, I have learned that there are still many good-hearted people in the world. However, recent experiences have reminded me that compassion and goodwill can still be found, even in unexpected places.

Not many people know that I am a self-proclaimed urban fantasy and sci-fi geek. I have a deep fascination for the imaginative worlds and captivating narratives found within these genres.

The last book I read was “The Human Division” by John Scalzi. It’s a thought-provoking science fiction novel that delves into themes of interstellar politics and the complexities of human nature.
