RigSafe Rigging Inspections

Rigging is an essential part of any theatrical system. RigSafe from Vincent Lighting provides peace of mind and service on your overhead theatrical rigging and drapery systems and meets or exceeds OSHA Standard 1926.550(a)(6) for annual inspection.

Theaters, auditoriums and performing arts centers are our society’s hub for live entertainment and performance. The strong community of performers, artists, and technicians need to be protected from malfunctioning or inoperative overhead rigging systems. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standard 1926.220(a)(6) (ANSI E1.4-1-2016 Entertainment Technology-Manual Counterweight Systems) requires all overhead rigging systems to be inspected by a certified professional.

RigSafe by Vincent Lighting utilizes ETCP Certified Riggers to inspect your system, provide a written report, and offer recommendations on updates and repairs. Our experts have decades of experience in installing and inspecting all types of rigging systems. RigSafe is available in all 50 US States.

We understand that not every theater administrator is a rigging professional. It’s vital that you know the results of your rigging inspection to make informed decisions. RigSafe by Vincent Lighting is designed to not only provide an in-depth and highly technical analysis of your current system but also provide easy-to-read documentation on the results. We also offer a prioritized list of repairs (if needed) and budgetary costs for completing any repair or maintenance that may be required.

Following a RigSafe Rigging Inspection, your Vincent Lighting Team brings all our resources together. Working with you, we develop a plan that not only keeps your performers safe but provides a budgetary timeline ready for presentation to financial stakeholders such as executive management, boards of education, or school administration.

Vincent Lighting provided our theater with a very detailed inspection and explained in a way that my building administrator and maintenance director could understand. They worked around our performance schedule and were extremely efficient.
