Wedding & Reception - George Washington Hotel
Playing off a winter theme, this wedding ceremony used cool blues to uplight the ceremony, then warmed it up for the reception.
To create the gently falling snow during the ceremony, lighting designer Noland Jenkins added ETC Source Fours with Gam FilmFX. Chauvet Freedom Par Quad 5 lights provided the soft uplighting around the edge of the lobby.
For the reception, Par 20s gelled with a warm gold color highlighted the bar, while ETC Source Four lights were outfitted with Apollo Smart Move gobo rotators to pan snowflakes across the cocktail tables.
Inside the ballroom, Par 38 fixtures added uplighting around the room, while Fuel Light Angle Lights highlighted the centerpieces and cake. Completing the winter look, a breakup pattern of winter branches -- employing ETC Source Four fixtures with Apollo gobos -- spanned across the ballroom ceiling.
The client commented, "The lighting is so superb, and we felt it really created a mood for our ceremony and reception. You are amazing at what you do. Thank you!"
The wedding ceremony used a snowfall effect to emphasize the winter theme.
